Every year, librarians from around the state nominate books to compete for the Louisiana Teen Readers' Choice Award. Click here to view the books nominated for the 2024-2025 school year and how you can participate at NISH! Currently, we have most of these books in print in the NISH library. 

Students who read at least 2 of the books on the list are eligible to vote for a state winner (deadline is May 1st). Students from across the state participate each year, and we highly encourage you to do so as well. Students who read every title on the list may receive a certificate of achievement from the Louisiana State Library!

If possible, we will order the book you request with the next book order. Book orders are typically submitted in October/November and the new books usually arrive in December/January.
