Fall Staff
The Fall is filled with large retreats, high school leadership camps and IAWAH events. The fall staff team focuses on facilitating student leadership guest groups, serving retreat guests, and helping with work projects. Fall staff finds themselves serving in three distinct areas: Facilities, Food Service, and School Group Leading.
Fall Staff
Under the direction of the Ministries Director and Managing Director, the fall staff will deliver high-quality programming to both students and adults in a recreation setting, they'll creatively teach new skills and activities and facilitate activity-based small group learning. They will also spend time serving in food services, housekeeping, and facilities.
The successful candidates will have:
the ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, multitasking, and high-learning environment;
demonstrated the ability to learn in a team context;
In addition, the following will be considered assets:
Previous successful experience working at IAWAH in a seasonal role.
Climbing Instructor
Safe food handling certification
NLS/Bronze Cross certifications
Standard First aid and CPR-C or Wilderness First Aid certification
The successful candidate will contribute positively to an environment where we seek to encourage, build up and humbly challenge one another to continually grow. As a leader, they will demonstrate discernment and maturity helping to perpetuate safety, efficiency, and fun.
All staff members are required to sign IAWAH’s Staff Expectations, which will be provided upon receiving a contract.
Pay starts at $300/week. Room and board are provided by IAWAH in addition to this.
