Lead Teaching Assistant

Iowa State University

About Me

I grew up in southeast Iowa where I graduated high school in 2010. I came to Iowa State University to become a secondary mathematics teacher. During the summer before my senior year in the math education program, I participated in a mathematics REU. This research experience inspired me to take my passion for teaching and learning to the college level. After getting my B.S. in mathematics in 2013, I started the PhD program in the Department of Mathematics at ISU. My current research interests are zero forcing, power domination, cops and robbers, and throttling. My research advisor is Leslie Hogben. I am now in my 5th year and I am currently serving as the Lead Teaching Assistant.
