I was awarded the ISU Teaching Excellence Award in the fall of 2022 for leading recitations for Calc I and Calc II, as well as leading exam review sessions for both classes.
During the fall and spring semesters of academic year 2023-2024, I taught the standalone course Survey of Calculus twice, during which I designed lesson plans, homework, quizzes, and exams. The course consisted of three lecture days and one recitation day per week. I believe math is meant to be collaborative; hence, recitation days often emphasized group work, including group quizzes. After this work, I was awarded the Miller Family Excellence in Teaching Award by the Mathematics Department.
During the fall of 2024, I led two recitations of Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, as well as grading proofs for one section of Theory of Linear Algebra. In spring 2025, I taught the standalone course Linear Algebra and Matrices.
Note: During academic year 2022-2023, I did not teach. I was instead funded by a Research Training Grant.
