School-based Curriculum

Reading Education

Our campus is a haven for book lovers. Teachers of every subject incorporate not just reading but reading education into their classes. We also have outdoor reading activities and book discussion groups to exchange impressions and reflections. Our students also write reading reflection papers which they share with their classmates. We hope that our reading culture nudges our students to discover the joy of reading itself and opens windows to new worlds for them.

Silent Reading

Our school has weekly models sustained silent reading (MSSR) sessions where teachers and students quietly read books and newspapers in the classroom. Classes have books they read concurrently along with related materials from the library. Besides the chirping of the birds outside and the rustling of pages turned, the classroom is filled with a wholesome silence of teachers and students engrossed in their reading. Blissful moments that nurture the habit of reading for a lifetime.
