School Uniform

A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students and anyone arriving at school in non-uniform clothing will be sent to St Teresa’s Student Support area until they conform to school uniform regulations.

Web site ordering is available including free delivery (over £25) to the school on a Friday. Mail order next day delivery. Click and collect from store.

Second-hand Uniform

A stock of second-hand uniform is held by the PFA and is available to parents/carers for purchase at regular, notified sales. The money raised goes back to the school for the benefit of the students. A few uniform items are held in the School Office for emergency use to cover accidents etc.

Please note: All uniform must be clearly marked with the student’s name, as should all clothing, text books, exercise books and other property.

Indoor wear

School blazer - must be worn throughout the year. (Obtainable from Trutex)

School skirt - Winter skirt and summer skirt. Both skirts should be knee length. The summer skirt is worn from Easter through to October half term. (Obtainable from Trutex)

School jumper - with the school colours. (Obtainable from Trutex)

White Blouse - plain white cotton/polyester blouse (long or short sleeved)

Shoes - plain black formal school shoes. Trainers and ballet-style pumps are not appropriate. Trainers may only be worn for physical education lessons.

Tights OR socks - Socks may be white, beige, dark green or black, short or knee length, but trainer socks may not be worn. Black tights are allowed.

Outdoor wear

Only plain (no logos) coats or jackets may be worn; suede, denim, leather or leather-look garments are not acceptable.

General

Hair colour and style must be appropriate for school. Hair which has been dyed an "unnatural" colour is not permitted, nor is shaved hair or coloured braids.

NO jewellery (except for one small stud, in each lobe) and make-up is not allowed in school. No other piercings are allowed.

False and painted nails are not allowed. Students will be asked to remove false nails.

Coats and other outdoor clothing may not be worn in school.

Bags must be plain, waterproof and a suitable size to accommodate all books.

PE kit

Please note: all kit must be named including sports shoes.

Navy and sky blue T- shirt with surnames printed on the back. (Obtainable from Trutex)

Navy and sky blue hoodie with surnames printed on the back. (Obtainable from Trutex)

Cross trainers suitable for sports (not fashion trainers such as all stars and vans and no plimsolls)

White sports socks

Full length black sports leggings or skins for Winter. Black or navy tracksuit trousers are also suitable.

Gum guards for hockey and lacrosse lessons are compulsory (boil and mould are acceptable for PE)

Shin pads and navy football socks (optional but recommended)

Key Stage 3 and 4

Plain black leggings, plain black t-shirt, bare feet with hair tied up.


Illness/Injury

If your daughter is ill/injured please provide her with a signed and dated note to give her permission to be excused from her PE lesson. She will be excused at the discretion of the PE teacher, and she will be expected to bring her PE kit and perform other tasks within the lesson (e.g. coach I leader I official). Failure to do this will lead to a sanction for no kit.
