Welcome to the Hamilton-Wenham Distance Learning Webpage for the Student Services Department. On this page, you will be able to access learning resources and activities recommended by our Student Services Team. Our Student Services Team, including special education teachers and related services staff, have provided resources to support your child’s learning during this unprecedented time. Along with the resources here, your child’s service providers will maintain meaningful connections with you and your child and provide individualized supports and resources to further support ongoing learning and enrichment experiences.
Further, your child's special education service providers have been developing an Individual Remote Learning Plan (IRLP). These plans included contacting you to share the plan and allow you to provide feedback on the proposed instruction and services for the continuation of the school closure. Many services began the week of April 6, 2020. Upon completion of the written parental notice or your child's Individual Remote Learning Plan, the plan will be sent to you via email for your records.
The Individual Remote Learning Plan is not a change to your child's IEP, but is a plan to outline supports, resources, and specific instruction and services that will be provided to your child during the school closure. The IRLP is not a mirror match to the services provided during a typical school day. Student Services staff have worked to determine, on a individual basis, the instruction and services to best support review, maintenance, and deeper learning of taught skills. Individual Remote Learning Plans will be reviewed and revised, as necessary, throughout the remainder of the mandated school closure.
