At Ceredigion PRU, we take immense pride in our school, our students, and their accomplishments. While our website can’t fully convey the inclusive ethos and high standard of teaching here, it is something that visitors often highlight. Our dedicated staff provide bespoke support to meet each pupil's needs, fostering lifelong learning and community contributions.
We are also committed to building strong partnerships with a variety of agencies and community members, enhancing both the curriculum and the personal support our students receive. These collaborations include Health and Social Services, local authorities, Careers Wales, mainstream schools, and more. We value our positive relationships with parents, which are key to the success of our pupils.
Ceredigion PRU is committed to creating an environment where exemplary behaviour is at the heart of productive learning. Everyone is expected to maintain the highest standards of personal conduct, to accept responsibility for their behaviour and encourage others to do the same. This includes a comprehensive Risk Assessment to ensure pupil and staff safety. We use a Person-Centred Planning Approach at the entry stage to inform our planning in meeting the needs of the pupils in our care. Our policies is routed in Relational Practice and the work of Paul Dix: When the Adults Change.
The importance of strong and positive relationships between all members of the PRU (pupils and staff) and the wider school community is recognised as an essential element in developing the right support for our young people in managing their own behaviour as well as developing an inclusive ethos within our setting.
