Additional Learning Needs

Ceredigion PRU is committed to supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). All pupils follow a bespoke timetable to support their ALN.

We are a nurture provision with a high ratio of staff to pupils. Both Canolfan Yr Eos and Canolfan Aeron are staffed by highly trained Behaviour, Emotional, Social Difficulty (BESD) staff who are trained in the Trauma Recovery Model

We are an inclusive provision and pride ourselves on offering holistic ALN support. We use Paul Dix Relational Practice with pupils and aim to foster good relations with all our pupils.

We use a Pupil Centred Approach in all we do and adhere to the ALN Code to support our learners.

Pupils are taught individually or in small groups to support their ALN. All pupils are supported to work towards age appropriate qualifications. We have strong links with local colleges and support our ALN learners to access Post 16 options.
