Our context was launched by the entrancing tale of 'Beegu' by Alexis Deacon, an alien lost on Planet Earth.
Pupils have analysed the story's theme of 'belonging' and thought about places where they belong.
Pupils have learned to retell the story using Pie Corbett's 'Talk for Writing' method and have modified the story (changed the characters and details) to create their own stories.
The story sparked the pupil's interest in our solar system and we have been learning interesting space facts!
We will use these facts to create our own fact files
We will be learning about shape and distance and making our own rockets too!

Step 1's Christmas Production!
Christmas will soon be upon us! Step 1 are excited to announce that our production will be Knock, Knock! The Nativity. We will soon begin practising hard and preparing for this!
Our performance will take place during the week beginning Monday 8th December. We will set the exact date in the coming weeks.
