Home Learning Expectations

In Step 1 we typically set homework by using a homework grid and we would expect to receive one piece every Monday. This can be shared in a variety of ways, including photos and videos on Seesaw, or Google apps. In addition, we ask our Year 1 pupils to complete literacy (e.g., phonics / spelling) and/or maths home learning tasks.  These are carefully selected to help children to enhance and consolidate the learning which takes place within school. We encourage children to use Big Maths at Home and to make use of Times Tables Rock Stars or NumBots to support this.

Home reading books - Children will be bringing home a book every Friday. Please could you read with them as much as possible and return it back to school the following Friday - diolch!
