To improve reading for pleasure with pupils, enhancing reading skills, and fostering a deeper enjoyment of literature.
Reading for pleasure has been encouraged in every class this year with reading time given in all classes during the day, buddy reading across the schools with younger pupils being taught and encouraged to read, as well as author visits to show how reading and having an enjoyment in literature has potential careers paths into writing. All year groups have improved their class reading areas with funding from the schools PTA.
