Our concept for this term was ‘Inside out’. In line with the New Curriculum for Wales, we explored key questions each fortnight which will encompass the 6 areas of learning. During this Concept, the children explored our concept in a variety of ways; exploring our emotions and the world around us.

Meet the class of 2024.
We are a happy and enthusiastic group - we are small in size but we make up for this with our enthusiasm and energy. We all know our own minds, have our own opinions and have an enthusiasm for life and learning. It is going to be a fun year!
We started off our year, getting to know each other, learning class rules and routines and having some fun. We all felt a but nervous the first day but once we were in and settled with Miss Gilman's toast we soon came around and were ready or the adventures to begin.
WOW STARTER
This activity represented Fear for some - but a lot of us had so much fun that we disagreed and said it was Joy/ Happiness. It helped us realise that some people might feel differently to others.
We had to guide our friends around an obstacle course blindfolded then see how far up the wall bars we could climb. There was lots of laughter.
We were sent a mission from the INSIDE OUT characters to learn more about what makes us feel each of the emotions.
In this activity we had to put our hands into boxes to find the stars - there were lots of gooey things in there for us to feel around.
Again - some people found it disgusting - others found it really funny.
It made us so angry to see the classroom destroyed like this - we had to work out what made the person so angry that they would mess up the classroom. We solved the mystery and worked out what they could do instead.
We played games and had fun with our friends for this activity.
We really enjoyed it.
We watched a video called For the Birds for Sadness. We discussed the theme and how it felt when we were left out or being made fun of.
