Our school is a caring community that aims to give every pupil, regardless of background, the best opportunity to succeed and achieve their full potential.

We do this by providing the appropriate challenge and support they need to gain success. Whether a pupil dreams of success academically, in the sporting field or in the world of work we are committed to supporting and helping them to achieve their goals. In this context we have invested heavily in our facilities in order to meet our pupils’ needs.

Staff and pupils continually strive towards superb attainment both academically and through extra-curricular activities. Working together for success

Parents play a very important part in the education of their children. We involve parents in many ways, including:

• Providing this student planner.

• Reporting pupils’ progress twice a year.

• Holding parents’ evenings for each year group.

• Holding special meetings for parents at important times:- Before admission to Year 7. In year 9 when GCSE choices are made.

• Encouraging parents to contact us at any time if a problem occurs.

• Asking parents to encourage and monitor a good attitude towards homework.

• Updating our website and sending text messages to parents with current information/important dates, etc.
