Why not try to arrange occasional conversations between a teacher and each pupil individually?
Purpose: to see how things are going and to give the pupil the opportunity to talk about any general difficulties.
This is an effective way of building a relationship of trust and of ensuring direct accountability.

You will need to consider having another responsible adult with the teacher for these calls.
Reference should be made to the school's safeguarding policy.
Early meetings:
Discuss how pupils manage their work, how they're coping with the technology.
You could refer here to e-sgol training.
Later meetings:
Discuss progress and see if there have been any difficulties since the last call.
