Q: Can I lend computer equipment to pupils to use at home?
A: Yes, though there are a few considerations that you need to think about:-
Do your laptops have a local account so pupils can logon? If not your ICT support can help you with this.

A: Yes, one method is to use Microsoft Teams via HWB - here is a video that show you how.
Q. Are there any safeguarding issues around this?
A: Yes, here is some guidance:
Q: Can I login to my staff laptop at home (iTeach Customers)?
A: Yes, iTeach have implemented a temporary solution to allow Teaching staff the ability to login to their Windows laptops from home. The user guide can be found on Google Classroom - Class code obcvmx4
Q: Can I access my teacher share work from home?
A: No. This can only be accessed from the Curric network in school.
Q: Can I get remote access from home to my school PC?
A: Unfortunately not.
Q: How can I access Hosted Sims?
A: This can be accessed using a Windows laptop or a Chromebook. Please contact your IT support partner for assistance if necessary.
Q: Why can’t I access Digigov from home?
A: This service can only be used on the council’s network and will not work from home, unless you have a corporate laptop with Direct Access set up.
Q: Can I still request iPad apps to be installed even though I’m not in school (iTeach customers)?
A: Yes. All iTeach customers benefit from mobile device management so we can push apps to your iPad providing you have an internet connection. Email support@i-teach.org.uk with the name of the iPad and app you require.
