Oxbow Families,
During these unprecedented times you can count on the Oxbow School Community to continually pursue resources to help our families.
If you are having difficulties accessing needed resources, please let me know, and I will do what I can to assist.
This guide provides information on how to access programs aimed at supporting Michiganders during the corona virus outbreak. Oakland County and United Way for Southeastern Michigan recently announced the Oakland Together COVID Relief Microgrant Initiative. This initiative will provide nearly $2M in direct funding support to Oakland County residents struggling to make ends meet as the pandemic and its economic impacts continue.
The application process to request a microgrant is now open. For those who are most in need, we have prepared the following resources to help you access this opportunity:
Application link. Eligible applicants will apply directly using the fund’s online application system using a smartphone or computer. Please ensure that you use this specific link to ensure that you are accessing the correct microgrant link.
General information website. This site provides an overview of the initiative, including eligibility requirements, how to apply, and an FAQ that we will update over time. This site is intended more for non-profits and community-based organizations than for applicants, but it is accessible to the public.
Community organization support guide. This guide contains detailed information about the application process.
Webinar recording. If you missed the informational webinar, you can watch it here.
If you have any questions or feedback about this initiative, please contact us at oaklandmicrogrants@unitedwaysem.org.
