Rachel Matsudaira or “Mrs. M.” as she’s affectionately known by students, grew up in Cornwall, CT and attended HVRHS. She earned her B.A. in East Asian Studies from CCSU and moved to Tokyo with her Japanese husband, where she taught business English and English conversation. Today she is proud to be back in Cornwall with her family in the house she designed and GCed, which is passive solar and energy star certified. Mrs. M. is a soccer mom, a tennis mom, a college mom, and a grandmom. She usually ends each day crooning at the piano and dreams of owning a Steinway M someday. Mrs. M. serves on the CCS Board of Education and feels blessed to be working in the Counseling office with the students and faculty she has come to know and enjoy!
