March 28, 2020 - Updated Message: Continuity of Learning in MCPS

Dear Parents and Guardians:

We are writing to inform you of new updates and corrections to the community message that was sent last night on the district’s continuity of learning plan. The week one schedules for students have been updated. We have provided additional information on the expectations for the online tutorials and explorations, and corrected the number for the AskMCPS phone line. The updated message can be found at this link: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/publicinfo/community/school-year-2019-2020/coronavirus-update-community-20200327.html.

Additionally, this afternoon, we held a virtual conversation on phase one of the continuity of learning plan. If you missed the conversation, you can watch it here in English: https://youtu.be/JbTrMkVxaf0?t=187 and here in Spanish: https://youtu.be/SmOrdVZWkLU?t=261

Lastly, you can find continuity of learning updates and resources for families and staff on the Continuity of Learning webpage: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/coronavirus/continuity-of-learning/.

We will continue to provide the community with regular updates (in multiple languages) via email, social media and the Continuity of Learning webpage. Thank you.

As the instructional environment shifts from in-person to online, students and teachers will need time to adjust.
