Kindergarten

This site is designed to give families a broad overview of the off-site learning planned for each week. Assignment specifics, including differentiation for individual students, is shared with students through Seesaw and applied arts google classrooms. Families can refer to this site for a general sense of the work being asked of students.

Please refer to teacher blogs/newsletters for further communication about the classrooms. Blogs/newsletters share out on thematic work, information about special events and other communications specific to families, while this site is the source for the "playlist" of off-site work, across content areas, for the week.

Kindergarten Playlist June 9, 2021

Choose from the following list or feel free to practice literacy and math your own way. I’m sure you can think of some clever ideas!!

LITERACY

Writing:

• Write about anything you’d like. If you need an idea

  • write about a favorite thing to do in summer make a list of things you like to do in summer

  • Write a thank you note to someone at school- Kathi, Joe, Clayton, Sharon, Mr. Seth, Mrs. Morse, Mr. Hill, Kaiya. Stretch the words and write the sounds you hear. Try to leave spaces between your words.

Sight words:

• Pick a sight word activity from the list of ideas sent home previously.

Lexia:

• Spend 15-20 minutes working on Lexia.

Reading:

• Story with no pictures- read the sentences and draw pictures that match the words in each box.

MATH:

• Play any of the math games I have sent home this year (you should have quite a few options!)

• Color by number

We will not have any Morning Meetings this week, but you can bet I will be thinking about you at 8:00 and 8:30! Thanks for making Morning Meetings so successful all year!
