About the Course
A year-long 9-12th visual art course. We explore an introductory curriculum that includes the four units of drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture. Keys concepts include the elements of art, artist growth mindsets, studio thinking habits, developing an artist portfolio, writing artist statements, and understanding the artistic process. Students will complete dozens of major projects in 2D dry media, painting, and sculpture, many of which will be displayed around campus, entered into community competitions, and shared at the Spring art shows.Â
