I hold a 2013 degree in Art Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. This is my sixth year teaching art at Hutto ISD. I have 11 years of teaching experience, 3 of which were spent teaching EFL to students in South Korea. To grow as an artist, I enjoy visiting museums and hunting for street art in cities near and far. I am a painter and I'm growing my skills in stained glass and pottery. I love trying out new types of art.
My family consists of my husband, Coach Smith and our three dogs Mogee, Pip, and Nabi. During my free time, you can find me biking, nurturing my native plant garden, walking dogs, hiking & camping, or spending time with my family. I have a deep appreciation for nature and animals and love to be outside. I also crave adventure and exploring and enjoy visiting other countries as often as possible.
I am so thrilled to join the team of talented and experienced art teachers at Hutto High School! Hutto is my home for now and, to me, there's nothing more valuable than investing in ones community. Go Hippos!
