✅Power Wash Chromebooks to performs a factory reset, wiping all local data and user profiles from the device to give it a completely fresh start.

Here is the list of district-funded instructional technology purchases for the 2026-2027 school year. Our goal is to ensure every digital minute in our classrooms activates student thinking and honors our limited instructional time. With that goal in mind, we reviewed district-wide usage data alongside the cost per active user, and some applications did not have enough use across the district to justify district funding, even where they may be valuable to individual campuses. Applications such as Seesaw, IXL Science/Social Studies, Gizmos, Nearpod, Flocabulary, BrainPOP, and Quizizz are now campus funded as needed.

Technology is a valuable learning tool. Our goal is not to remove it but to ensure it is always used with purpose and aligned to the rigor of the TEKS. Purposeful use earns its place in the classroom, while passive screen time quietly crowds out the teaching, discussion, and hands-on learning that matter most. The time limits and management expectations in the Hutto ISD Usage Guidelines apply to independent student practice. They are not a cap on the technology-based curriculum, lessons, or assessments teachers are required to implement; that instructional use is expected.
