Coach Spencer is proud to be part of the Hutto Cheerleading family, bringing years of experience as both an athlete and educator. A graduate of Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas, she cheered for three years before focusing on varsity basketball, where she played all four years.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Math and Science (Grades 4-8) and a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction for Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating cum laude with leadership honors. While at UTA, she was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Zeta Mu chapter, and served as a UTA Ambassador, College of Education Ambassador, President of the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs, and a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society.
Since beginning her teaching career in 2018 at Hutto Middle School, Coach Spencer has taught 7th-grade math, honors math, and currently leads college and career readiness and personal finance classes. She became head cheer coach in 2019 and is passionate about guiding her athletes through the Hutto cheerleading motto: F.A.M.I.L.Y.—Faith, Attitude, Mentality, Integrity, Loyalty, and Yourself Last. She works to instill these core values, helping her cheerleaders grow into confident, resilient young women both on and off the mat.
Coach Spencer believes cheerleading teaches important life lessons and is dedicated to being a positive role model, inspiring the next generation to be their best selves.
