These five projects used five different datasets for the class INSH 5302 – Information Design and Visual Analytics at Northeastern University. Projects were developed in R, Tableau, Canva, and HTML.

COVID-19
This project analyzed the Chicago, Illinois COVID-19 reports to create an infographic, showing the effects of vaccination status and patient age on the severity of COVID-19 infection. The infographic was created in Canva with plots developed in R.
Mountain Accidents
Mountain Accidents
This project analyzed the Mountain Accidents on 8,000 meter mountains to create an information-sharing website, developed with Google Sites and R.
Olympic Athletes
Olympic Athletes
This project analyzed the Summer and Winter Olympic Athletes dataset to create an oversized infographic poster with R and Canva. The data analysis is focused on comparing gymnastics and figure skating, two artistic events held in opposing seasons.
Coffee Preferences
Coffee Preferences
This project looked at the percentages of Europeans that buy real or instant coffee in a Tableau dashboard, showing the relative proportions of selected countries, the correlation between real and instant coffee, and visual maps of location to coffee preference.
Boston Weather
Boston Weather
This project analyzed the Boston weather data from 2013 to 2023 to create a Tableau dashboard, showing the cyclical nature of temperature trends, and the relationship between temperature, precipitation, wind speed, wind direction, and air pressure.
