STEMulate Summer Academy for rising 7th, 8th and 9th grade students promotes socio-emotional development and strengthens core skills in Mathematics and Algebra. Program activities are designed to introduce students to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) careers and career pathways in fun and engaging ways.

YEP is excited to partner with the Silicon Valley Education Foundation for the morning academic enrichment program! Students who sign up for the STEMulate Summer Academy will be able to choose one of two programs to strengthen their math skills! The programs are facilitated by certificated teachers.

Computer Science Institute (CSI) program introduces students to the foundations of computer science through the lens of making + design thinking, teaching them the skills to learn to solve problems like engineers.

Elevate Math prepares students for success in their math class by frontloading concepts for their next math class, strengthening growth mindset, and building college and career awareness.

In the afternoon, students will be able to sign up for one or two hour enrichment classes led by YEP staff. Classes will include silk-screen printing, cooking, drones, boxing conditioning, art and more! Students will be able to select new classes every two weeks.

As part of the STEMulate Summer Academy, students will be able to go on three field trips!
