Differences between UC & CSU

Information on the Differences between Semester vs. Quarter System

Currently 23 CSUs
Semester System (Fall, Spring, Winter)
- Consists of two 15-week terms
  - Fall [August-January]; Students generally take 4-5 courses, approximately 15 credits
  - Winter [December-Janurary]; often lasting 3 weeks between Fall & Spring semester
  - Spring [Janurary-May]
  - Summer Session Optional
