Make a cover page with your name in Japanese and class period.
The TABLE OF CONTENTS lists any handouts or info you need later on. You can use stick glue for handouts.
You are to number every page.
Absences/Makeup work: If you are absent, you are required to make up assignments for that day, i.e., compositions except for the exit quizzes. You will be exempt from the exit quiz for the day for an excused absence. You will receive a zero on the daily quiz if it’s an unexcused absence.
Journals: 45%
This category includes all the daily journals we write in class together. You are to use the Cornell note taking format and write a summary in Japanese and in English for each day of notes. We turn them in on a weekly basis. You will receive 100 points per completed journal entry per day. On average we will have 3 journal entries for the week.
The “Journal” category also includes kana and kanji sheets,kana worksheets, song sheets, kanji packets and kanji sheets.
Homework: 20%
This category includes Quizizz sets.
Exit Quizzes/Tests: 35%
This category includes all quizzes, tests, and exit quizzes. Sometimes a Quizizz set will be assigned in class as a quiz and will be assigned to this category. Exit quizzes are meant to be completed on the day they are assigned. They cannot be made up. You will receive a “0” for an unexcused absence and an “exempt” for an excused absence.
