HAC provides opportunities for artistic expression in six art venues and advocates and supports arts education in our schools. HAHS connects people, experiences, and stories of the Hayward area.

In the Spring of 2018, HUSD and the Hayward Arts Council, with support of the California Alliance for Arts Education, joined forces to become an Arts Now Community.
The work of the Arts Now Community is to:
Move toward equity and access to arts education by closing opportunity gaps and eliminating inequities in access to arts education.
Increase public funding for arts education
In collaboration with our Arts Now Field Manager, our Arts Now Community will identify goals that match the specific needs of our school district. The California Alliance will provide coaching, communication resources, and training.
