Social Services
The Division provides information and referral, advocacy and crisis intervention services to residents based on financial eligibility and the availability of funding. The Division is dedicated to serving people with disabilities. We encourage people to request reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Ride the LINK
The LINK, Hunterdon County's Transportation System provides transportation services to ALL residents of Hunterdon County, NJ. Funding for operation of the LINK is provided by the Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Commissioners, NJ TRANSIT and the Federal Transit Administration. The Hunterdon County LINK Transportation System is comprised of a variety of services including "scheduled route" services (Flemington Shuffles, Cross County Shuffles), "demand response" services, and customized transportation services and assistance.
Housing Division
Division of Housing, the office operates under the oversight of the Hunterdon County Department of Human Services. The Division of Housing is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Mental Health Services
The mission of the Hunterdon County Mental Health Board is to champion the rights of those impacted with mental illness by advocating for efficient, accessible, high-quality mental health programs and services as defined by NJSA 30:9A-10, 21 and NJAC 10:37 – The Community Mental Health Services Act.
Social Worker and School Counselors:
Ms. Sarah Chittendan is our dedicated Preschool Social Worker who assists in the preschool classrooms 1-2 days a week, working with students individually, when needed or requested.
Ms. Kristen Deniz is the Elementary School Counselor who assists students in individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance when needed.
Child Study Team:
Child Study Team The Child Study Team (CST) is made up of school psychologists, school social workers, learning disabilities teachers-consultants, and speech-language, physical and occupational therapists.
The CST main function is to evaluate and design programs for students who are experiencing learning, health and/or behavioral difficulties
