Images out on the internet are not all free and available for your use. Many images have restrictive copyright and using them can have legal consequences if you don't get permission from the creator to use them. That doesn't mean you can't use online images, but it does mean you need to find images that are available for you to use and remix or get permission to use if they don't have a Creative Commons License. Creative Commons licensed materials still have copyright, but gives more flexibility over who can use them and how. The creators apply a Creative Commons license to their materials that give different levels of permission.
