We acknowledge that Cal Poly Humboldt and coastal Humboldt County is located on the ancestral, traditional, and stolen lands of the Wiyot people, whose descendents today include members of the Blue Lake, Bear River, Trinidad, and Table Bluff rancherias. The Wiyot people are the original and present caretakers and scientists of the lands on which we are learning, studying, and working. They are important parts of not only the history of this area but also in continuing knowledge of this place.
