Cal Poly Humboldt's Title IX office has provided Community Partners with a brief Title IX overview training. Their office is responsible for enacting the policies and procedures dictated by Title IX, which is a federal regulation under the Department of Education. The CSU system, which Cal Poly Humboldt is a part of, has one policy that explains how a a campus should respond to allegations or reports of Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violance, Domenstic Violance, Stalking and Retaliation - this is called an Executive Order.
As community partners, you are considered a "third party", should a student choose to disclose an incident to you, you may file an incident report with the Title IX office and one can be filed against you. Their training goes over this in more detail as well as resources that are available to you as a third party.
