Pillars of Sconzo

The next 4 years...

can be your best 4 years!

Rigorous Academics

Students at Sconzo are both high school and college students from day one. Through a Pre-AP and dual credit curriculum, students are academically challenged to stretch their knowledge, beliefs, and opinions. Although challenging, our program has numerous built in structures to support the success of all our students, such as tutorials, AVID, peer tutoring, LSC-K Tutoring & Writing Centers, and many more.

AVID Schoolwide

While an elective course at the district comprehensive high schools, students at Sconzo take AVID all four years. The AVID Elective is a year-long course providing academic and executive function skills in order to assist students in navigating the complexities of advanced coursework and post-secondary preparedness by accelerating academic success.

Family

Family is the most important support system at Sconzo. Students are placed into one of twenty families as freshmen and start each day with their family. For the next four years, students bond and grow together during this daily advisory. Families are an academic, emotional, and social support for all students.

Families - Jaguars, Titans, Tigers, Phoenix, Raiders, Aztecs, Roos, Spartans, Wolfpack, Gators, Dragons, Bears, Royals, Griffins, Thunderbirds, Roadrunners, Blue Devils, Panthers, Tritons, and Blue Angels

Service Learning

The Quest Service Learning program is a structured program on Fridays of community service, internships, and/or student leadership. Through service to others, students are provided opportunities to experience personal and interpersonal growth in the areas of self-awareness, decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills. By the time students graduate, the can have accrued over 100 hours of community service for their college resume.
