"Each year, 20 books are chosen for the Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List. Schools and libraries around the state participate in the program, encouraging students to read a minimum of five books from the list. In January, students vote for their favorite title. The author of the book receiving the most votes wins the Texas Bluebonnet Award (TBA) which is presented at the Texas Bluebonnet Award Luncheon held during the TLA Annual Conference in the spring" (TLA 2020).

Students in grades 3-5 are invited to read five or more books from the 2023-24 list. A reading log is provided below. When they finish a book, they are asked to record a short Flipgrid video discussing what they liked or disliked about the book from the beginning, middle, and end. They will be awarded a digital stamp for each book they finish.
Students who earn five or more stamps by January 2024 will be invited to a special celebration!
Please note: Students must be logged in to their My Humble account to access the reading log and Flipgrid channel.
