Job Description:
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first and second-level technical support to students, teachers, and administrative staff, ensuring the proper functioning of the school's technological infrastructure. This position requires specific experience in Apple-based environments, including Mac and iPad devices and tools within the Apple ecosystem, as well as network administration and educational platforms.
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of macOS and iOS operating systems, networks, and hardware, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality service. Additionally, the candidate is expected to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with other departments to implement effective technological solutions that support the educational environment.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide timely technical assistance to students, teachers, and administrative staff to resolve issues related to Apple devices (Mac, iPad, Apple TV) and educational platforms.
Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues with devices, networks, and operating systems (macOS, iOS).
Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update Apple devices, educational software, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent failures and ensure service availability.
Incident Management: Record and track incidents using ticket management tools.
Technology Integration: Support the implementation and configuration of educational technology solutions, such as classroom management applications and learning platforms.
Training: Provide training and assistance to students and teachers on the use of Apple devices and platforms.
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain the inventory of technological resources.
Coordination and Supervision: Coordinate activities with external staff and vendors, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with other areas of the Technology Department.
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
Certifications (Preferred):
Apple IT Pr
Jamf MDM
Google Workspace
Software Proficiency:
Apple Suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)
Microsoft Office for Mac (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet)
Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) (preferred)
Autodesk (AutoCAD) (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of macOS and iOS operating systems.
Experience in Apple device management through MDM solutions such as Jamf or Apple School Manager.
Knowledge of network infrastructure (Wi-Fi and LAN).
Experience in configuring and supporting Apple devices (Mac, iPad, Apple TV).
Experience with educational platforms and classroom management applications (Apple Classroom, Google Classroom).
Familiarity with third-party solution integration in Apple environments.
