▶ How to apply Overseas Study(D-2) visa

After international students have been admitted, they will be able to receive their Certificate of Admission(COA) from HUFS. This must be taken to the Korea Embassy or Consulate in your country to apply for a D-2 visa

※ Certificate of Admission & Business Registration Copy will be sent to the students

※ A student who is living in Korea and holding a D-4 visa must apply for D-2 visa before the semester begins

⊙ A passport(Orignal,Copy)

⊙ A color photograph (Taken within the last 6 months, white background, 3.5*4.5CM)

⊙ A copy of business registration

⊙ A certificate of admission

⊙ A family relation certificate(if applicable)

⊙ A doc of final level of education(if applicable)

⊙ A financial statement(if applicable)

⊙ Tuberculosis test certificate(if applicable)

⊙ Other required documents

※ It is advised that students contact the Korean embassy or consulate in their home country before applying for the visa to check if there is any additional document required for the application

▶ Applicants

In order to engage in activities not permitted by the current status of stay, a permission to change the status must be obtained from the local Immigration Office prior to engaging in the said new activities.

ex) A D-4 status foreigner wants to study in Korea(D-2)

A D-3 status foreigner wants to study in Korea(D-2)

▶ How to apply

Present the Required documents to the local Immigration Office (may be applied by an appointed agent)

1. How to apply

Visa expiration date for D-2 visa holders will most likely be March or September considering academic schedule. Student must apply for visa extension before the expiration date. You can visit immigration office or apply online

※ If students stay in Korea after their visa has expired, they can be regarded as illegal immigrants and will have to pay fines to the Immigration Office.
