Founded in 2014, the Hudson High Makerspace is a fabrication lab that provides opportunities for students to design, tinker, engineer, craft, and engage in passion projects. Students in Makerspace also have opportunities to work with community organizations and develop entrepreneurship skills. The Makerspace is located in the Media Center. It is open on Wednesdays from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. as well as Maker Mondays from 3:00 - 4:30. The Makerspace is also open during select periods throughout the school day and by appointment with Mr. Robitaille.
Because our focus encompasses any form of making, we work on projects ranging from sewing to 3D printing to electronics to visual art. A student's imagination is their limit! When we say the Makerspace is for anyone, we truly mean it. It's what you make it.
In addition to providing equipment and lessons to students in a club environment, the Hudson High Makerspace specializes in taking on small-scale manufacturing jobs. We are armed with a wide range of tools needed to bring any project full circle. We regularly fulfill commissioned jobs for the public, including custom clothing, laser engraving, custom drinkware, magnets, keychains, photo frames, ornaments, buttons, stickers, and much more. Contact Us today for pricing!
Besides taking requests for specific jobs, we also have our very own Marketplace where we sell pre-made accessories, gifts, and miscellaneous souvenirs. You can check out our Marketplace page where we list all of our products for sale or you can come check out the products in person at the display case located in the HHS media center!
Any HHS student is welcome to join Makerspace. Please visit our Members section if you're considering joining our club, and feel free to Contact Us with any questions!
