Purpose - The purpose of this course is to explore the complex issues of modern conflicts and attempt to establish an individual stance on many complex issues.
Scope - We will focus our efforts on the history of The United States from Sept. 11th 2001 and journey back through US history of the 20th century to the present.
Method - Classroom instruction will consist of instructor presentation, individualized reading and writing activities, as well as problem solving individual and group work.
Structure – We will use current media/essays/reports coupled with historical analysis of past events spanning the 20th and 21st centuries.
Assessment – In Class Activities and Assignments – Don’t miss class. Much is done and is difficult to comprehend without classmates and instructor.
Class Participation – Discussion plays a large role in what we learn. Assessed through score discussions.

Final – worth one tenth of the final grade
