We ought never to do wrong when people are looking. - Mark Twain
1. BE ON TIME
You are to be in your seat when the tardy bell rings. Each time you are late your name will be submitted to the office for further action.
2. BE PREPARED
You should have all necessary materials ready when class begins. This includes pens, pencils, paper, your devices (if required) and mask.
3. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR WORK
All work should be completed in full and on time. Assignments must be turned in to me at the beginning of class or through the electronic means for remote learning. Do not set anything on my desk or turn things in at the end of the period, they will be considered late. Half credit will be given for assignments that are one day late. Assignments that are two days late will not be graded, you will receive a zero.
4. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKE-UP WORK
If you have missed classes due to excused absences, you have the right to make up the work you missed. You have as many days as you were out to complete any and all work. You are responsible for checking the website for missing assignments.
5. CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Any student caught cheating in any manner will be referred directly to the principal. The student will receive a zero on the test or assignment and the parents/guardians of the student will be notified. A second offense will result in an “F” for the course and removal from the class.
6. DO NOT DISRUPT THE CLASSROOM
Do not talk or socialize when the class is working. There will be days when we finish early and you will be given permission to talk quietly. Do not ruin this privilege by disrupting the class. Please do not blurt things out in class. If you have a question, raise your hand, or approach me to speak privately.
7. STAY IN YOUR SEAT
Do not sit in a seat that is not assigned to you. You are given as assigned seat for a reason. Do not stand at the door at the end of class. You must stay in your seat until the bell rings.
8. RESPECT OTHERS
Treat others with respect. This includes their person, property and ideas. This is a positive learning environment. Listen to what others have to say, and respect their opinions – even if they are different from yours.
9. KEEP THE CLASSROOM NEAT AND CLEAN
Do not bring anything to eat or drink into the classroom. You will not be given permission to enter the room if you have these items. Do not damage bookshelves, desks, walls, etc. by drawing or writing on them. Offenders will be responsible for cleaning these items. In addition, you will receive detention. Throw away any scrap paper and keep the room neat. Do not, under any circumstances throw things at the trashcan.
10. CELL PHONE USE
Using a cell phone during class is strictly prohibited unless I give you permission to use it.
11. THE HALL PASS IS FOR EMERGENCY USE
If you want to leave the classroom for any reason (restroom, locker, drinking fountain, office, guidance department, etc.) you must have the following: a hall pass or your planner. This does not include occasions when a pass is sent requesting you leave the classroom.
