The CAS stages are a structured yet flexible framework provided by the IB to guide students through their CAS journey. These stages - investigation, preparation, action, reflection, and demonstration - help students thoughtfully plan and engage in meaningful CAS experiences across creativity, activity, and service. By following these stages, students develop essential skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and self-awareness, and also create opportunities for personal growth and learning. The process encourages reflection throughout, ensuring students can apply what they’ve learned to future challenges with confidence.
