All About Sharing Days
A Sharing Day is an opportunity for students to donate money to have the privilege to dress down for the day. Each month throughout the school year has been intentionally organized to align with a national month or a national day. This will allow our students to share their experiences/connections with our community partners and to provide an opportunity for our community partners to engage (face to face, virtual, or recorded) with our students. There will be a Sharing Day each month to provide our HTS Community an opportunity to continue to support the needs of our Connections partners. A Sharing Day is when students donate money to our local Connections partners for the privilege of dressing down in their home clothes. Further, in SpotligHTS we will highlight the Connections partners and the great ways our students learn, share and serve each month.

Donating For Sharing Days
This year we will use Jotform to collect all of the donations once at the beginning of the year. The ask is for students and staff is to donate a minimum of $35 to support all of our 24 charities. By donating a minimum of $35, students will have the privilege to dress down for all 10 Sharing Days. This is a reminder that we will not be collecting any more donations for our Sharing Days throughout the year.
One change this year is that $25 of the $35 that is collected will be divided up equally amongst the 24 Connections partners. The remainder $10 will be distributed to students who donated in the form of tickets. These tickets can be used as tokens to support a student-led Connections Week (October 27 - 31, 2026), where each homeroom raises money for one of the Connections partners. These tickets will then be collected and tallied. The additional money raised for each Connections partner will be added to the equal amount that was given. This new format will provide students more opportunities for leadership, collaboration and agency in supporting a charity they are passionate about.
Similar to Sharing Days in prior years, you will not receive a tax receipt.
To support our Connections partners and to have the privilege of dressing down for our 10 Sharing Days throughout the year please visit and complete the form on Jotform.
