The Trinitarian Award is designed to encourage student engagement in the student life program and enable students to take ownership of their own individual growth. The Trinitarian Award is centered on five components: Physical Recreation; Arts; Service; Global Education; and Leadership and is based on the founding HTS values and Six Competencies.

The Duke of Edinburgh is an internationally acclaimed program which promotes active participation of young people in service to the community, development of their own skills, maintaining a physically active lifestyle and engaging the natural world or historically significant places or skills with an adventurous spirit and a disciplined mind.
