IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS for Kids
DON'T give out personal information
NEVER send pictures to strangers
KEEP passwords private
DON'T download anything without permission
TELL an adult if you receive a mean or strange message
Open and read the pledge. Or you can download and print it if you want and sign it with your parents. If you've done this, you can email the arstechhub@htps.us (follow email etiquette steps!) and let me know that you have taken the Digital Citizenship Pledge. Mention in the email that this is for Award Ribbon #7. Subject line should read "Your name - Award #7".
No need to send proof! I trust you!

Being a responsible participant in online conversation, I will :
Be safe. You know the rules online… Do not tell your first and last names, address, school, etc. Blogs are on the internet and anyone can see them, even when they are “private”.
Be accurate. Make sure that any information you write is correct. This includes facts, names, and web addresses. Do not exaggerate.
Give credit. If you do mention a fact you read online, be sure to give the author credit. Tell the author’s name (if you know it) and the web address of the source.
Be a conscientious student. Proofread carefully before clicking “Submit Comment”. Your writing is for school, so be sure to check spelling, punctuation and grammar, as you would for any other type of school project.
Write intelligently. Make sure your message is clear and easy to understand. Remember to stick to the topic; don’t be overly humorous or creative.
Write quick and to the point. Blogging is not a time for book writing. (There are other online tools for this.)
