1. School celebration: held annually in early November, including a fair, sports contests, and a cosplay show.
2. Orchid and Jade Tree Concert: held annually in December by Chinese Music Club, the school choir, and Jazz Band, and performers from the music clubs of the neighborhood elementary schools were invited to enjoy music as well.
3. Teachers’ Day: On September 28th, Teachers’ Day in Taiwan, students are encouraged to express their gratitude to their teachers with posters, pictures and words, films, and broadcasting.
4. Mother’ Day: Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May is celebrated with cards made in the classes to express the students’ love and appreciation to their mothers.
5. English activities: For the English Singing Contest held in every May for the 7th graders, the English teachers teach them pronunciation, the music teachers instruct their singing skills, the performance arts teachers improve their choreography, and visual arts teachers inspire their costume design. The process demonstrates the diversity and dynamics of interdisciplinary education for the 7th grade. Moreover, a week-long bilingual challenges combining technology education and the use of tablet are offered annually. They are ingeniously designed to provide the students with the opportunities to listen, speak, read, and write in English, to increase their motivation and interest to learn English.
6. Career exploration: A visit to vocational high schools is arranged for the 8th grade students to learn how different vocational subjects are taught. To the career-oriented 9th grade students, weekly half-day courses in vocational schools are offered to enhance their acquisition of professional knowledge and techniques.
