Just as Google has gone through many transformations so has education. Education needs to keep up with the technology of our world. Doing so will help to keep the students and educators up-to-date with the knowledge that is necessary to compete in our new and changing world. Technology and education is ever changing.
In collaboration with a colleague, I collaborated and facilitated a course on Google Apps in Education at Wailuku Elementary School on January 27 and 28, 2016. During a 20 minute Professional Development training, the WES staff was introduced to GMail and Google Docs and taught how to transfer from Lotus Notes 8.5 to GMail. During this training the educators were asked to be open minded to using Google Apps, demonstrate collaboration in real time using Google Apps, and examined two instructional training modules and successfully completed them at the end of the training.

Apart of the Future Ready Pillar requirements, I created a lesson that was shared with the Kindergarten students. The technologies integrated in this lesson was the class website (whale tab) and the Tux Paint program.
