Anyone who is Interested in play a sport must fill out a PSAL medical that must be stamped and signed by a doctor and signed by a parent or guardian. Forms must be filled out and returned by April 5th
You must have the covid addendum attached to the medical form.
Your parent must sign a consent form.
You must be tested for covid on a regular basis.
You must attend school on a regular basis.
You are only allowed to participate in ONE sport activity.
* If you are on a team, you might be able to get P.E. credit (Check with Ms. Sostre-King)
1. How many teams will there be? What are they?
We can offer three teams this year -
Boys Basketball
Girls Volleyball
Track for both boys and girls teams
2. Can a remote student participate?
Yes you can, however you will have to attend the practices. Most practices and conditioning sessions will take place at the high school.
3. Who do I give my forms to?
Their are multiple ways to submit your forms:
1. Print the forms and submit the completed forms to either Mr. Rau or Ms. Sostre
OR
2. All parents received an email from Ms. Silva to complete the forms electronically
4. Where can I get a physical?
The Falcon Health Center on the 3rd floor at HSFI can conduct all physicals. It's important to bring the PSAL medical form SIGNED by your parent or guardian to the appointment.
5. Will I get a MetroCard?
Yes, all students will receive a 2-trip metro card, including remote students.
6. Can this help my PE grade?
Yes, as long as you continue to participate it will help boost your PE grade. This will also help if your received an NX in the spring or summer of last year or the fall of this year.
