All About Mrs. Hassell

Hi, my name Is Sarah Hassell. 

I am a graduate of Festus High School. I currently hold a Bachelors Degree in Middle School English Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my sixth year teaching English Language Arts here at Hillsboro Junior High School. I love my job, and I am so excited to start this school year. I have a love and passion for teaching at the middle school level. Throughout my time at the Junior High, I have taught a variety of English classes, such as: 8th Grade ELA, English I, 7th Grade ELA, and the Pages to Screens Elective. This year, I will be teaching 7th Grade ELA and the Pages to Screens Workshop semester elective course. 

I am married, and I am a mom to a wonderful and sassy three-year-old named Julia. We also have two goldendoodles named Chance and Kobe (after Chance the Rapper and Kobe Bryant). They all keep me very busy everyday. 

I love to read, binge watch tv, train my dogs, and organize/decorate. I have also started a new hobby of crafting (I am not very good at it yet).
