During English this year, we will be working on techniques to enhance students' writing and reading abilities.

We will focus a lot on independent reading this year. Along with independent reading, we will be reading the following novels in class: A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, and Night by Elie Wiesel. 

Throughout 7th grade, we introduce many new writing concepts to students. We will work narrative, argumentative, and expository writing. We will also work on research techniques and how to apply our research to our writing.
