Ashley-head pastry chef at the Hilton in Minneapolis, Chet her husband is a sous chef at the U. of St. Thomas...looking into a possible CC with one or both of them...or possible field trip...notice Chet's boutonniere is an artichoke! Note: these knives are not about violence--I believe they met in a commercial kitchen (this is their wedding day!) and wanted a "kitchen pic"...
I'm looking into virtual or live field trips for this year to...
Mill City Museum & Baking Lab https://www.mnhs.org/millcity/activities/museum
Boudin Bakery Museum & Tour: http://www.bistroboudin.com/boudin-flagship/museum-bakery-tour/
and possible guest speakers:
A friend from church who always helps organize and cooks for church events, including the Annual "Game Feed," Women's Christmas Tea, Mega Mission, and others. He's an absolute whiz in the kitchen and everyone loves working and cooking with him!
We have staff at MNVA who love to cook and bake! Through conversations, I've learned that Mrs. Specketer is QUITE the baker, and Mrs. Borgen is an established cook! I'm hoping to feature a few of our MNVA staff at upcoming meetings to share their passions with us and perhaps even a recipe!
I'm waiting to hear back from:
King Arthur Flour regarding their "Bake for Good" program...
